  • 19th Century British Library Newspapers - Full runs of over 60 influential national and regional newspapers from the 19th century, representing different political and cultural viewpoints. Includes, for example, The Chartist; Cobbett's Weekly Political Register; Birmingham Daily Post.

  • African Studies Companion - Provides information about sources of information on African studies, including both printed and online sources. Sources listed are mostly English language, and the resource focusses on Africa-wide sources rather than country or region specific sources.

  • American Speech Language Hearing Association - We have full text access to 'Journal of speech, language, and hearing research' and 'Language, speech & hearing services in schools'.

  • Annual Reviews - Annual Reviews offers critical reviews written by leading scientists focusing on disciplines within the Biomedical, Life, Physical, and Social Sciences including Economics. We have full text access to approximately 20 Annual Reviews.

  • Australian Education Index (ProQuest Dialog) - Consists of documents relating to educational research, policy and practice. Relevant to a wide range of people interested in education: schools and universities, as well as the researcher, AEI is a specialist database produced by the Cunningham Library at the Australian Council for Educational Research.

  • British Education Index (ProQuest Dialog) - Provides information on research, policy and practice in education and training in the UK. Particular strengths include aspects of educational policy and administration, evaluation and assessment, technology and special educational needs.

  • British Periodicals Collection I & II - This database provides access to the searchable full text of hundreds of periodicals from the late seventeenth century to the early twentieth, comprising millions of high-resolution facsimile page images. Topics covered include literature, philosophy, history, science, the social sciences, music, art, drama, archaeology and architecture.

  • Cambridge University Press - CUP publishes over 250 peer-reviewed academic journals across a broad sweep of subject areas. We have full text access to over 150 full text articles with some archival access.

  • Duke University Press (DUP) - DUP publishes primarily in the humanities and social sciences. We have access to approximately 4 full text journals.

  • Equinox Publishing - Equinox Publishing specializes in humanities, social sciences and performing arts. We have access to approximately 10 full text journals.

  • ERIC (ProQuest Dialog) - ERIC, sponsored by the US Department of Education, is the premier national bibliographic database of education literature.

  • Families in Society - focuses on the art, science, and practice of social work and provides a trusted forum to explore and share ideas and concepts in social services.

  • Foreign Broadcast Information Service (FBIS) Daily Reports 1974-1996 - The FBIS Daily Report has been the United States' principal record of political and historical open source intelligence for nearly 70 years.

  • House of Commons Parliamentary Papers - Contains searchable full text of House of Commons Papers, Command Papers, Bills, Reports of Committees and Commissioners from 1715 to the present.

  • Index to Theses - A comprehensive listing of theses with abstracts accepted for higher degrees by universities in Great Britain and Ireland since 1716.

  • International Encyclopedia of the Social & Behavioral Sciences - This Encyclopedia maps the social and behavioral sciences on a grand scale.

  • Journal Citation Reports - A comprehensive resource that allows you to evaluate and compare journals using citation data drawn from over 11,000 scholarly and technical journals from more than 3,300 publishers in over 80 countries. It is the only source of citation data on journals, and includes virtually all areas of science, technology, and social sciences.

  • JSTOR - Archives of electronic journals in all subject disciplines, many going back to the 1850s.

  • MIT Press Journals - MIT Press covers a wide range of disciplines including the arts and humanities, social sciences, and specialized areas of science and technology. We have access to approximately 18 full text journals.

  • New Left Review - NLR analyses world politics, the global economy, state powers and protest movements; contemporary social theory, history and philosophy; cinema, literature, heterodox art and aesthetics.

  • Oxford University Press Journals - Academic and research journals covering a broad range of subject areas. We have access to over 120 full text journals including some archival access.

  • Palgrave Macmillan - Palgrave Macmillan focuses on the Humanities, the Social Sciences and Business. We have full text journals to approximately 14 journals.

  • Project MUSE - Project MUSE provides full text, subscription access to current content from scholarly journals in the humanities and social sciences. Within this collection we have access to over 450 journals.

  • ProQuest - The ProQuest platform incorporates all our subscribed ProQuest databases enabling you to find information within a database in a specific subject area or across databases. Research can encompass a variety of content types and formats, including leading journals, periodicals, news content, rare and archival information, dissertations, research reports, e-books, and multimedia—within and across subject areas.

  • Russian Academy of Sciences Bibliographique (OCLC) - Index to books and periodical articles, published primarily in Russia and Eastern Europe, on a diverse range of Humanities and Social Science topics.

  • Sage Journals Online - Search the full text of articles in over 500 journals in all subjects published by SAGE.

  • Social Sciences Citation Index - is a multidisciplinary index (via WebofKnowledge) to the journal literature of the social sciences. It fully indexes over 1,950 journals across 50 social sciences disciplines. It also indexes individually selected, relevant items from over 3,300 of the world's leading scientific and technical journals.

  • Symposium Journals - Education and Learning journals. We have full text access to approximately 2 of the journals.

  • Taylor and Francis Online - The platform covers all journals from Taylor & Francis, Routledge and Psychology Press of a wide range of subjects. We have full text access to over 450 journals including the Geography, Planning, Urban and Environment Online Archive.

  • Times Higher Education (THE) - Source of information on higher education, bringing breaking news, analysis and lively debate for all higher education professionals as well as the latest jobs.

  • Universal Database of Russian - Covers: Current Digest of the Post-Soviet Press, CIS & Baltic Periodicals, Russian Central Newspapers and Social Sciences & Humanities

  • Walter De Gruyter - Publications in the humanities and natural sciences. We have full text access to over 20 humanities and law journals.

  • Wiley Online Library - This resource hosts a broad and deep multidisciplinary collection of online resources covering life, health and physical sciences, social science, and the humanities. We have access to millions of articles from 1500 journals and some reference works.
